Special Classes
Edu-Care offers a weekly Music, Spanish, Sign Language and Physical Fitness class as part of our Preschool and
Kindergarten Program. Sign Language is offered to children from Infant to Kindergarten. Special instructors
are contracted to conduct these classes.

The Music teacher is a state certified teacher with over 40 years of experience in teaching Music.
The Music program includes the following:
- Introduction to basic elements of music (melody and rhythm)
- Movement to Music
- Moods in Music
- Introduction to Musical Instruments
- Singing
- Integration of other subject areas-songs learned will include teaching of colors, numbers, shapes,
letters, nursery rhymes, seasons, holidays and more
- Preparation for the holiday caroling in December
The Spanish teacher speaks fluent Spanish. The Spanish program includes learning the following information in Spanish:
- Numbers
- Colors
- Shapes
- Animal Names
- Days of the Week
- Months of the Year
- Greetings
- Simple Songs
The Sign Language teachers have numerous years of signing experience. The Sign Language program is provided
to Infants though Kindergarten children and includes the following:
Instruction includes learning signs for:
- Alphabet letters
- Greetings
- Feeling words
- Basic words - please, thank you, more, etc.
- Basic words to promote communication
- Colors
- Shapes
The Physical Fitness teacher has been professional aerobic dance instructor and has experience as a personal trainer.
The Physical Fitness program includes the following elements:
- Age-appropriate gross motor skills
- Eye-hand coordination
- Stretching exercises
- Muscle toning
- Total physical development of the child
- Exercising to Music
- Integration of other subject areas
