Tweenies - 1 Year Old Program

The Tweenies program at Edu-Care provides a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment.
Your one year old will not only receive basic care such as being fed, changed, and kept clean and safe, but
will also be exposed to a variety of stimuli to encourage intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth.

Objectives
Each child will be able to develop:
- a strong sense of self and emotional security
- social skills while being with other children
- confidence about his/her own physical abilities
- thinking and verbal skills through the use of books, educational toys, music and art
Music, educational toys, and books will help your child to develop thinking and language skills, while being with
other children will help him/her to develop social skills. A carpeted, fenced outdoor playground especially designed for and used
only by the one year old program will help your child to develop physically and instill confidence about his/her own
physical abilities. The affection, hugs, praise, and encouragement given by the teachers will help your child to develop
a sense of self and emotional security. Most importantly, your child will be treated and cared for as an individual with
regard to his/her own special temperament.
The teachers for the one year old program are warm, loving and patient. They will be sensitive to your child’s needs and
understand your child’s developmental level and individual skill. The teachers like to work closely with you by communicating
both verbally and in writing. You are provided with a daily report as well as being welcome to visit the classroom at any time
throughout the day.
